Stuff Smoothie

A renewal project was carried out in line with the new needs of Stuff Kadıköy that emerged during last 4 years. Stuff Kadıköy is one of Moda’s first smoothie bars located in Istanbul. A fresh and new identity has been added to the architectural branding of Stuff Kadıköy with the material choices that respect the texture of the old shop. To make the space itself more simplified, the main touch of design has been a new white surface in correspondence with the well-preserved brick wall, one of the characteristic imageries of the ”old” Stuff Kadıköy. The restrooms at the back are turned into a storage with a clean-cut arch passage that is connected to the front bar. The smoothie bar’s new position has been directed towards the façade for a wider lounge area. Also the custom-made, portable seating unit on the façade strengthens the outdoor communication with the guiding windows on the renewed front. The space unites with the street life when the front windows are completely open and the interior space welcomes the exterior.

Moda’nın ilk smoothie bar’larından olan Stuff Kadıköy‘ün 4 sene boyunca gelişen yeni ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda yönlenen yenilenme projesinde, eski dükkanın dokusuna saygılı tasarım dokunuşlarının taze ve ferah bir tat katması amaçlandı. Depolama ihtiyaçları sebebiyle dükkanın arka tarafında bulunan tuvalet alanı soğuk ve kuru depo alanına çevrildi. Depoya geçiş kapısı yeni bir yüzey olarak tasarlandı ve Stuff’ın eski imgelerinden olan tuğla duvarı koruyarak ile ilişkilendirildi. Barın yeni konumu, cepheye doğru yönelerek kullanım yüzeyi genişletildi. Dış cepheye taşınabilir oturma alanı kurgulandı ve yenilenen cephedeki giyotin pencereler sayesinde iç mekan ve sokak iletişimi güçlendirildi.
